1.During
a special edition of VH1's "Rock n' Roll Fantasy" we are taken along
as Gloria Rueben prepares to take on the role of a lifetime, as one of
Tina Turner's backup singers. We are given an all access pass: backstage,
during rehearsals, opening night and so much more! Wonderful candid shots
of Tina performing on stage!
|
2.Looking
absolutely gorgeous, Tina surprises Oprah Winfrey during a special
celebration honoring her 50th Birthday! Even though she's
dedicating her first song to Oprah, it's hard to say who's "Simply the
best" as Tina proves that she is truly timeless! Later in the
program, Tina kicks things into high gear with a spirited rendition of
"Proud
Mary" that has everyone dancing! It's wonderful seeing Tina again!
|
3.After
the show ended that day we were later given an inside glimpse into all
the preparations for "Oprah's 50th Birthday" celebration.
From all the decorations to the set, the flowers arrangements, the cake,
how they kept everything a secret from Oprah, to the arrival of her special
guests! Backstage, Tina shares with us what she has planned for Oprah!
Afterwards, we are treated a few of the highlights of the celebration that
continued on into the evening. Tina serenades everyone with a heartfelt
version of "Let's stay together."
|
4.Later
the producers selected their favorite moments from their past shows.
One of them mentioned the day that Tina arrived for Oprah's Birthday
Celebration!
|
5.After
being away for nearly five years, Tina returned to the spotlight with a
brand new two cd set, "All the best." Looking absolutely radiant,
Tina performs a spirited version of her new single "Open arms" on
the "CBS Early Show." After a short interview, Tina performs
a wonderful version of her all time classic hit, "Simply the best."
As the show draws to a close, Tina proves why she is the "Queen of Rock
and Rock" as she sings a rousing rendition of "Better be good to
me."
|
|
6.Performing
her latest single, "Open Arms" Tina makes a splendid appearance
on "Live with Regis and Kelly." As the show draws to a close
she sings a few bars of "Let's stay together." ( While all
the rest of the shows have updated their sets with a brand new look and
proper lighting, the quality of this show has diminished greatly over the
past couple years. Not only was the lighting completely wrong for
Tina, but they screwed around on the day
she was suppose to appear and so they bumped
her over to the following day. And if that wasn't bad enough, they
presented her segment at the very end of the show, and so when it came
time for her second song Tina barely sang two bars and it was over. It
was an absolute disgrace. )
|
7.Kicking
things into high gear, Tina performs a rousing version of her classic hit
"Proud Mary" on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show." After the
break, she touches upon many things during her light hearted interview
with Ellen. Tina is having a great time! As the show draws
to a close, Tina returns to the stage to perform her brand new single,
"Open
arms."
|
8.Looking
radiant as always, Tina makes a splendid appearance on the "Today Show."
Of
all the interview segments thus far, this one was perhaps the most insightful
and Tina herself even remarked, "You're asking the right questions, this
is so good." Throughout the interview she talks at length about many
things! After the break she performs a heartfelt version of her brand
new single, "Open arms." Exceptional close ups! She
looks so beautiful! Dipping in the past, Tina performs two more selections
"Private
Dancer" and
"What's love got to do with it." This is truly
an exceptional appearance!
