Woodstock: The Lost Performances is a video collection of highlights from the 120 miles of footage used to make the original 1970 film. Included here are "Work Me Lord" by Janis Joplin, "We Shall Overcome" by Joan Baez, and "Let's Go Get Stoned" by Joe Cocker. This compilation also contains performance footage from Arlo Guthrie, Country Joe McDonald, and the Band. The video was compiled and released during the 20th anniversary of Woodstock.

When the 20th anniversary of the Festival neared, archivists set out to see what remained of the 120 miles of film exposed on the project. What they found is cause for an all-new celebration... more great Woodstock performances, some by artists not seen in the 1970 film.

What's great is the cutaway footage of the crowd (most are not in the movie) and a lot of nudie shots during Canned Heat Going Up The Country. Melanie really belts out Birthday of the Sun. Janis Joplin Work Me Lord is in color and they added different angle camera shots in B&W. The only footage that looks like it's the same as Woodstock Diary is Arlo Guthrie, Tim Hardin, Blood, Sweat and Tears. The Paul Butterfield Drifting Blues footage is very dark and on Diary it's looks good. The audio is stereo and sounds great.
