Hofner guitars for me are the Rolls Royces  among  the
                       guitars.

During the music era, beginning in  the  1960's,  Hofner
lost from Fender and Gibson, eo.
I myself started to play in the 1960's with a Hofner Arch-
top Electric with the knobs at the bottom of  the  guitar.

After playing a few years in bands  the  neck  got  dama-
ged in falling downstairs,  repair  was  possible,  but  never  be  good upwards to 100%.
A short time after it happened, I bought an other EKO Guitar,  played
a few years, the guitar got sold and I stopped playing the music.

But as ever again, nostalgia got me  and I  bought  a  Epiphone  by
Gibson stratocaster, started to practise again, love the fun, and after
so many years  started  searching  for  a  Hofner  (as  I  owned  in  the
1960's) or eventually a shop where I could buy one.

Finally I succeeded on internet  in  the  UK  at  Musicground,  Don-
caster. Still a beauty in case and at once playable.

Now these days I,ve started a  Hofner  collection,  which  is  slowly
growing bigger. Some guitars are hard to get.

Internet is just al very large database (see links). I have burned all
to Cdr to, so I got my own database. There are many types build,  but
the most astonishing guitar is the 6 string
VIOLIN GUITAR.
